A while back (in that hazy stretch of time before the present curdled into whatever this is) I cornered Kevin Hawickhorst and made him talk to me about Work Simplification, and about the great unanswerable mystery: how the WW2-era US government managed to actually do and build things.
Then Textbook (a collection of local and state capacity from school systems) died. Quietly, the way most beautiful and doomed ideas do. No funeral, no eulogy, just a slow exhale. And rather than weep into my velvet shirt, I did the unthinkable!
I learned something. I took those lessons, pressed them like dead flowers between the pages of my own ambition, and have spent my idle hours building something. Something neat. Something that might even work, God help us all.
Here is a sneak peak! I hope you will enjoy the news when it comes out! The only thing I can guarantee is how gorgeous it looks.
